Comprehensive Employee Handbook Review and Update
Our Employee Handbook serves as a one stop shop for Riipen team members to navigate their employment and journey at Riipen. It was published in 2021, and updated regularly by our People and Culture. As we approach the 5 year mark, we want to undertake a more comprehensive review and update. The branding and style are out of date and need to be refreshed based on our new brand and style guide, but more importantly we want to assess usability, clarity, and compliance with HR best practice. We know the Handbook is not as engaging and user friendly as it could be, and we want this project to get us there. This project will give learners the opportunity to learn about the full employee lifecycle and all the people and culture processes that support that lifecycle. Learners will get a true HR generalist's view - they will be updating guides to everything from benefits, time-off, expenses, remote work policies, learning and development, and performance management. Creating and updating employee resources to align to both company and industry practices is something most HR/P&C professionals have to do on a regular basis - this projects is one that we hope you can showcase to potential employers as evidence of your hands on experience as a P&C generalist!

Culture Deck Update: Research and Narrative Development
Our company culture deck is a foundational document communicating who we are, what we value, and how we work together. Over time, our company has evolved, and our current culture deck no longer captures the full picture of our team, history, and aspirations. Our goal for this project is to refresh and revitalize our culture deck to accurately reflect our current values, history, and team dynamics. Learners will review documentation, conduct research, gather insights from key team members, synthesize findings to help identify recurring themes, unique stories, and key moments in our organization's journey, and help to craft a compelling narrative about the Riipen journey and culture.

DEIB Roadmap for 2026 and Beyond: Updating Riipen's 5-Year Plan
Riipen is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where every team member can bring their whole selves to work and feel a sense of belonging (DEIB). We are looking for learners to update our DEIB 5-year plan, operationalizing the outcomes of our most recent DEIB company survey (October 2024), aligning with company values and current DEIB goals. This project focuses on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities presented by a remote work environment and a multi-generational workforce. Learners will analyze existing DEIB data, identify key trends, and propose actionable strategies that Riipen should apply in the next 5 years to enhance inclusivity and belonging across Riipen. The project will enable learners to apply their knowledge of DEIB, organizational behaviour, data analysis, content creation, effective corporate communications, and strategic planning to develop a comprehensive roadmap and updated 5 year plan that supports Riipen's DEIB objectives.
