Students will design or re-design a mobile application applying user experience and user interface techniques over 3 weeks. At the end of this 3 week sprint, a minimum viable product will be presented to the client. This can be developed.

User Experience

  • Research ( Organizational/domain/user/competitive comparative etc.)
  • Planning of design sprint (information architecture, data analysis, brainstorming etc.)
  • Design (wireframes, prototypes etc)
  • Testing (user testing, iterating)
  • Presentation ( final presentation to community partner on the work done throughout the 3 week sprint)

User Interface

  • Research Research ( Organizational/domain/user/competitive comparative etc.)
  • Design inceptions, moodboards, art direction
  • Design Hi-fidelity mockups from wireframes
  • User interface elements (icons, graphics, visual elements)
  • Brand Identity (logo, branding etc.)
  • Presentation ( final presentation to community partner on the work done throughout the 3 week sprint)

This design then has the potential to be selected by our App Development instructor to be built using React Native by our App Development students.
